Hello, I’m Sophie!

The owner and face behind Maple Tree Lane. I started MTL in 2024 after 13 years of being a primary school teacher. I have two little ones of my own who both love role play and were the inspiration behind me creating my own mobile play village.

My favourite area of the play village is:

The Cafe! I love all the little details - it’s my favourite section to set up.

My favourite book to read the children is:

‘The Tiger Who Came To Tea’. It was my favourite when I was a little girl.

Our Story…

In 2024 I made the difficult decision to leave teaching to find something that gave me more time with my family, yet still offered the opportunity to work closely with children.

I have always loved taking my children to role-play settings and dreamt of one day owning my own. After a lot of hard work and dedication, Maple Tree Lane was born. The name was inspired by the street my nan lived on when I was a little girl, so pays homage to her and my childhood.

I can’t wait to meet you all at Maple Tree Lane and see your little ones enjoy what I have created, I really hope they love it just as much as I have loved making it.

Delicious cakes, snacks and hot drinks are available to purchase at each session, which ends with a story time and free healthy snack (rice cakes, breadsticks or raisins).
